Safer Schools

The Shrewsbury Academy has been involved in the ‘Safer School’ initiative for a number of years. This is a security and safety process supported by Shropshire Council and West Mercia Police. Application for Education Trust School Uniform Subsidy

Uniform Grants from the Education Trust’s Jubilee Fund If you are claiming benefits you can apply to the Education Trust’s Jubilee fund for a small grant to help purchase uniform (£30 per primary child, £50 per secondary school child with a maximum per family of £100). Residents and organisations across Shropshire are being invited to give their views on what more the council can do in light of its financial challenges due to ongoing cuts in government funding. Get involved in the Big Conversation The call out is part of Shropshire’s Big Conversation which launched in 2015 to better understand which services people value most and where the council should prioritise its budget.
